today i read an article in a magazine. it was about "single-parasites". It refers to single (working) adults, who are still living off their parents.
perhaps living under the same roof isnt that bad, afterall they might wanna save alittle money for their future house? but it is not right to live with yr parents, and not contributing to the utilities bill [water, electrical] and gorcery money.
the worst is... when those singles have a job, it means they have a salary and should be able to get by right? they will shamlessly take money from their (maybe elderly-going-to-retire-soon) parents!!! arrrrhhhh!!! they are no longer still schooling kids...they are already young working adults leh. some said "it is my parents who offered me the money mah..." but still.. those money the aging couple has.. is most prob for their retirement.
but well.. maybe not all singles who live with their parents have the intention to ''save money''.. but because of filial piety. true true, but the least they can do.. is to give their parents some allowance??
haha in that article, one mum said " i thought i might have some peace and spend time with my husband.. but it was gone when i heard: MUM! I'M HOME!
i think these single parasites just make up a small small proportion of the singles in our society today. however i will detest those who goes "living at mum's place, i'm ensured that there will be meals..."
