mich needs a new blog.

just 18 days to exams. less than 3 weeks. it's really time to start studying. I need that break after exams. Adding to my exam stress, i have a report due on 14nov and i have written 0 words. How nice -_-

i guess nus libraries and I are going to be really good friends these few days :) and the music library is quiet, and the librarian remembers me somehow. So, maybe i should just rot in music library. Good thing is that I have parking at raffles hall and i dun have to look at available seats in central/biz/science. But there is no canteen at music library, only a makan place at UCC. However, the price is not very friendly to students like myself.

I miss UW library though. They have the best zi pi tables around, the table is quite big (meant for angmoh) and each desk is equipped with the "table lamp/table light" and 2 power points loves! :):) :) You can bring food into the library except for hot food/fries (because they will smell), you can talk/discuss projects with your friends on the first level. only. They have special sections called "Silent Study" and you really CANT talk there, even if you whisper, the people there would be annoyed. So it is the most condusive environment. You cant "chop" and reserve seats for your friends. The librarian will make her rounds. If she notices a table without a "human being", she would leave a yellow coloured note. On it, she wrote the time she came to check. If you havent returned after half an hour, she will clear the table. Seriously, they will do that.

There was once i told her my housemate limhui just went to the toilet and would be back in a jiffy. She said, "it's ok, it doesnt matter..." and left the yellow piece of paper. Wells, their way.

Another time, we went for a longer lunch break, and we came back just in time! because after we sat down, the next 5 sec, the librarian came with a trolley. But she was really happy to see us. She said " You girls are so lucky! im just about to clear your tables!" very -_- but yeah, thank god... It's really VERY difficult to find a seat at Silent Study.

They should implement this system in nus. I have already told the science dept. But I dont think it will work in nus. If the librarians were to touch any of our stuffs, im sure as singaporeans, we will COMPLAIN!

But cool man, they have a whole level of the library just open for talking and discussion. The tables there are not the zi pi kind. It's the long big kind of table, able to accomodate 4 persons. And at each side of the table, there are 2 power sockets. No matter how loud you laugh, the librarians wont chase you out for the library. So convenient for project meetings. Sometimes it's so hard to find an air-conditioned place in school for project discussion and meetings and we often ended up at the wooden benches with limited power sockets.

And the borrowing of RBR books. Maybe they have alot of copies for each rbr book, so students are allowed to borrow for 3 days instead of 2 hours. But their fine is heavy! Overdue for a day = CAD 20 bucks! They have a cap till CAD 100!!!!!!! good or bad? haha!

I find the school books here are much cheaper. I bought my financial accting book for CAD85 and i cant sell it back as second hand. :(:(:(:( my friend bought her ODE 2 book for 100++++ wth!

Ok, tata, im gg to watch my hk drama.. life is quite short, enjoy while i can.
