YAY! As i wished, my fav school HWAC CHONG INSTITUTION (JC) won! hooray *throws many many confetti* hahahaha, everyone in the whole LT agreed that they deserved to win. my goodness, they were way ahead of the 2nd and 3rd team. We had helpline like "sabotage" but the 2nd and 3rd team didnt use on hwachong, simply because it was no use. Even if they answer wrongly and to have 10 pts each = 20 pts in total to be deducted from their acct, they will still win the competition. So the 2nd and 3rd team just sabo-ed each other. Good strategy indeed (although the audience was very puzzled for a moment and was very noisy!)
Hwachong was very very strong. They led all the way from round 1-2-3 and their individual scores from preliminary round was the highest. my god. vj team was good too. the girl especially, but somehow her male teammates dont trust her answers and wouldnt use her answers :( very sad right?
therefore, Chancellor Challenge Shield 2009:
1st place: hwachong
2nd place: nus team
3rd place: vjc
btw, the emcee asked nus team if they were at an advantage (because of their age), but the team said no as there is no hierachy in knowledge. So what if u are in university or jc or even from the ip schools? it's a current affairs and general knowledge competition!
to sum it up, it was indeed a good one. although i kept complaining and whining, at least the hard work and effort paid off in the end, when the kids came up to you and say thankyou for everything. They loved the qns :) Including Mr Steven Chia. Arh, somehow he looks much better on tv though :) i didnt manage to take a photo with him because i refused to. shy la!! so paiseh! but he really speaks good english. really sweep u off your feet.. but our emcee was good. even though we had to pay her for her services, she speaks like a pro. Good Job!
In the end, we didnt let the boss treat us la... we werent that evil! we had a good dinner and.. yeah, my organizing committee are quite nice friendly people. maybe whenever we meet up, we are so stressed and frustrated over the ccs, we didnt have the chance to interact and the atmosphere of meetings were usually tense and.. ya loh.
so how? ccs 2010?? btw, everyone including teachers and students who took part last year said that this year qns were more difficult. DUH! this year i had help from this 2 zai guys who found damn hard qns to torture the poor kids. mine was friendly :) haha! but round3 was simply too challenging till noone could answer any qns and morale was low low low!
alot of things to talk abt ccs... but yea, great memories, both 2008 and 2009. Let's see for ccs 2010 la.
we were saying abt what to do/say if we were to ever meet mr barack obama? my very lame and not intelligent answer was to tell him that I am also called michelle. whahahaha!!!
