I chanced upon this. And it is one of the most touching stories I have ever "heard".
A son says to his father: 'Dad, would you be willingly to run a marathon with me?'
The father, despite his age and a heart disease, says 'YES'.
And they run that marathon, together.
The son asks: 'Dad, can you run another marathon with me?' Again father says 'YES'.
They run another marathon, together.
One day the son asks his father: 'Dad, would please do the Iron Man with me?'
Now just in case you wouldn't know, 'The Iron Man' is the toughest triathlon in existence:4km swimming, then 180 km by bike, and finally another 42 km running, in one stroke.
Again father says 'YES'
Not touching huh?
Team Hoyt is a father-son team who has taken part in triathlons, marathons and many other races. Father and Son racing together is not uncommon. The father, Dick is already 69 this year, while the son, Rick has celeral palsy. How do they compete in races together?
The touching thing is: Dick pulls him in a special boat as they swim, carries him in a special seat up front as they bike, and pushes him in a special wheelchair as they run.
Marathon/triathlon or even simple running exercise is already no easy feat for a person who suffers from heart disease. And what's more, the father has to use extra strength to pull/push the son.

From the net, I found this out.
When asked what one thing Rick wished he could give his father, his reply was "The thing I'd most like is that my dad would sit in the chair and I would push him once."
Super touching. I cried.
That is why people always say, parents will do and sacrifice everything for their kids, because of love. This is the wei da fatherly love. The dad did all these because he loves his son.
Doesnt this video give you strength? It did for me.
My Redeemer Lives
- By Nicole Mullen C
Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?
And who told the ocean you can only come this far?
And who showed the moon where to hide till evening?
who's words alone can catch a falling star?
Well I know my redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
this life within me cries
I know my redeemer lives
ye-e-eahThe very same God
who spins things in orbit
runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
and the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
they conquered death to bring me victory
Now I know, my redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
let all creation testify
that this life within me cries
I-I-I knowmy redeemer
He lives
to take away my shame
and he lives
forever I'll proclaim
the amount of pain that bought my sin
was the precious life He gave
and now he's alive and
there's an emptygrave!
And I know
my redeemer lives
I know
my redeemer lives
let all creation testify
that this life within me cries
I-I-I know my redeemer
I know my redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
He lives
He lives
*I spoke with him this morning!
*He lives
*I'm gonna tell everybody
*****************************************************************************
Seriously, nothing is impossible. You just have to set your heart to do it.
