Long overdue post. It will be a summary of what I did (not everything though) in the month of october, since it is coming to an end.
I decided to try my hands on making this ovenbaked crabmeat stuffed mushroom. I always thought mushroomes would make a nice appetizer for a meal. With the cheese melting on top of the mushroom, it tasted good. But I think I could use with less cheese the next time. Maybe add waterchestnut and white onions into the crabmeat-fish mixture to give it abit more crunch and add breadcumbs on top and fry it :) Mushroom might not be as juicy as the ovenbaked ones but might appeal to those who do not like the "raw" mushroom taste. I should have also marinate my crabmeat and fish alittle though...

Mid Autumn Festival 中秋节
Like every single year, I lit my paper lantern up and walked around my neighbourhood. I think some chinese customs should still be preserved. Like cny, we will get angpows, so midautumn festival, we should be playing with lanterns under the moonlight. It was quite a sad sight actually, noone was playing with candles or lanterns anymore. What happened to our chinese festival? Maybe everyone is busy....

I look forward to every 农历八月十五.. not only can I light up the oldschool paper lanterns my mum bought, I guess it is the only time I give business to 大中国's 月饼 . Their mooncakes are still the best I ever tasted; their lotus paste is moist and not overly sweet! But a new favourite was added to my list.

Carlton Hotel: Sweet potato chestnut snowskin mooncakes. WOOHOO! it is really delicious. Like icecream :) They had the durian snowskin ones too but i didnt eat it of course.

It was good for midautumn festival to fall on a saturday.

Not over with pink, crystals, blings and glitters, I decided to BLING my external hard disk. It was pure white and provided such a good canvas to add some blingblings to it. Actually I did hesitated for awhile, I was afraid I would spoilt the look of it. So I did the sides only.

I think it looks fantastic and has my style, haha! I didnt do anything to the top in case I regret it. Oh, the blings are cheap, 2.50 bucks only. Ok, it is not real swaroski crystals of course, one crystal cost a dollar... i cant afford it la.
Ok, this hard disk is really a GREAT BUY! thanks to all who have told me to buy it at the recent it fair :) it definitely came in handy as my computer crashed and i had to reformat my computer. Luckily i had the hdd and my documents/songs/photos could be saved!
This hdd is one of my precious possessions right now, it contains really old photos, many songs and the latest addition: 2PM videos from geri! WOW! I think i better do a backup somewhere still.... how? Another hard disk arh??

See that gap at the rhs of the photo? Yeah, i was supposed to be standing there but I have left. And that was wooyoung's position in the 2nd album! WHEE!
There are quite a number of videos of our timestop and dance flashmob at youtube... as well as those from other countries. I love the koreans'. I think it was the best organized!
Latest news being jype is going to release 2pm, or rather 6pm album this coming 11 nov. WTH? Without jaebeom the leadja? Even when they knew there is going to be a boycott from the fans and the jay hype is not dying down but going strong, they are still continuing with the release?
The boycott might seemed silly, how many hottest do you think will NOT buy the album? I think the boycott might be a failure. Saying is easy, but when you are actually doing it, it is tough. Many said although they support jay, but they have to support the other 6 members. Oh wells, but in my opinion, if this album were to do well, it will prove one fact: Noone is indispensible. Without the leadja Jaebeom, 2pm CAN still survive. So will jaeboem come back then? You tell me.

BottleTreePark
It is located at a ulu place (Khatib) but it is quite accessible. Just take a train down to Khatib and walk for 10-15 minutes. The bottle shaped trees are supposed to be the highlight of the place, but sadly I saw only ONE. They said the trees were at the other end of the park -_- The entrance I went in by was for fishing and prawning. I think it is a good place for families to gather together. They have this pond, which allows children (4-12 years old) to catch guppies and longkang fish. Although the pond isnt very big, I guess there are enough fishes for every child. I mean, a tank full of guppies is quite a lot! I used to like this activity alot! My mum used to bring me and my brother to paris ris park and we could spend 3 hours catching the fishes. Then we would cycle for another 2 hours before heading back home.
Though the fishing seemed to be fun for the kids, prawning seemed otherwise for the adults. I will not go to that place to prawn anymore. Firstly, the prawn pond was so small, but there were like >30 rods in the pond. And noone seemed to be able to catch prawns! And guess what, in an hour, i only caught ONE pathetic small prawn :( we rent 2 rods and the other had no luck at all. In the end, we bbq-ed the one and only prawn on the spot. No prizes to guess who ate it. Me of course.
But other than the 2 activities, you can paddle the swan boat, somewhat similar to what I did with geri, yan,wk,zh in Taiwan. In my photo background, that is where you will do the swaning (the website uses this word!!) I enjoyed paddling this in Taiwan, though was super tiring for the unfit me.
Although 30 bucks for 1 prawn is really expensive, i had a good time with my ex colleagues and i wished we could meet more often. Some of them meet reguarly for lunch since they work in the cbd area, but i wished we could have our weekly badminton or monthly ktv sessions :(

Any idea where this place is? Can you guys see the familar building in the background??
Ban Nee Gardens at amber road.
That day I accompanied my mum to get some orchids for our garden. And my dad love their bougainvillea :) so colourful right!!! But our garden is too small

Ban Nee sells a WIDE range and variety of plants, together with all types of soils and pots. The only bad thing is their service. Totally suck. Not the boss problem, i think they have left the business to the foreign workers who dont really care.
2 cute ones that spotted my eyes

At Marina Port. It is a floating restaurant! Taken on my way to Kusu island. I think for two years i didnt go to kusu island to pray because I didnt have the time. With better crowd management this time, it made things easier for praying. But it also made our waiting time very much longer. We queued for 2 hours before boarding the ferry. Coming back was worse, I think it was nearly 3 hours of queuing time! But everything was worth it!

Weather has been really punishing and I have fallen ill. Sigh, been staying at home to rest loh. But I think i will recover in 2 days time :) till then!
